On September 22, 2026, at approximately 7:15 PM, our family suffered an unimaginable loss. Our Only brother of 6 siblings Montique Tremayne Gaston, a native of Portsmouth Virginia, tragically lost his life during an encounter with Virginia State Police in Staunton, Virginia. Most heartbreaking of all, Montique’s two children were in the vehicle and witnessed their father being shot and taken his last breath , No child should ever have to experience the trauma of losing a parent in such a devastating way. Montique was a son, a brother, a father, a family member, and someone whose life meant so much to the people who loved him that was cut short , We are asking for support to help our family with funeral and burial expenses, travel, and the unexpected costs that come with this heartbreaking loss, while also helping care for his children as they begin to process the loss of their father. Any donation, no matter the amount, would mean so much to our family. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this GoFundMe and keeping Montique’s children and our entire family in your prayers. Rest in peace, Montique Tremayne Gaston. You will never be forgotten.
