<div>I met <strong>Wafa</strong> during my trip to the Kawah Ijen volcano in Indonesia. Beyond being a guide, he also works inside the crater — one of the <a href="https://youtu.be/rd-sgAMH000?feature=shared" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">most dangerous jobs</a>  in the world, exposed daily to toxic fumes for very little pay.

<div>Wafa had to quit school at 17 to work in the mine. Today, at 31, he is married, a father of two, and still risking his life every day. His dream is simple: to live from tourism, guiding travelers safely across Indonesia’s mountains and volcanoes (Ijen, Bromo, Batur), and to offer his children a better future.
