<div><strong>Help My Parents, Lifelong Public Servants, Rebuild After Hurricane Melissa</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Solange Sinclair, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart for my parents, Wayne and Renée Sinclair, who have been married for 35 years and have weathered many storms of their own. They’ve spent lifetimes lifting others up; now, they need our help.

</div>
<div>Just this week, Hurricane Melissa brought unimaginable destruction to Montego Bay, Jamaica, turning our family home into a watery nightmare. The storm brought devastating floods that destroyed much of the home I grew up in. A home my parents worked to build, brick by brick, back in 2008. Walls are water-logged. Floors are flooded. Furniture, appliances, clothing, and irreplaceable family keepsakes have been destroyed.

<div><strong>Why I’m Asking for Help</strong>
</div>
<div>My father is the President of the Global Services Association of Jamaica, a nonprofit focused on alleviating labor shortages and creating job opportunities in Jamaica. He has spent decades serving the country and its people, and now he’s facing devastation of his own.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My parents have always given, always helped others, always made sacrifices so their children could have opportunities. Because of them, my sister and I were able to pursue higher education in the U.S. Today, I have a 6-year-old son who is incredibly close to his grandparents. Seeing them experience so much trauma is heartbreaking.
