<div>On November 13, our community member and beloved grandmother Val Green (Nan) <strong>lost her entire home in a devastating duplex fire</strong> in Lloydminster. Val is newly retired, and one of the most selfless, gentle souls you will ever meet. She spent decades working in housekeeping at the Lloydminster Hospital, quietly caring for others long before herself.

<div><strong>Christmas is Val’s favourite time of year. </strong>She’s the type who decorates every corner, every shelf, every window — creating a warm, magical home for her kids and grandkids. She had just finished her decorating for the season. She had already bought all her family’s gifts.
