 Alex is 2 years old and still working toward the milestones most children reach naturally—like sitting, crawling, walking, and speaking
 
 At birth, a severe lack of oxygen caused a brain injury and cerebral palsy. As a result, Alex is currently unable to roll over, crawl, stand, walk, or speak
 
 Every small step he makes is the result of intensive therapy, time, and constant support
 
 Alex receives regular therapy in Namibia and also travels to Austria for specialist treatment that is not available locally. These therapies focus on stimulating his nervous system, improving muscle control, and helping him develop new movement patterns. He has already made meaningful progress, but he requires ongoing treatment to continue this development
 
 His parents, Natascha and Thimo, cover all costs themselves—including therapy in Namibia and Austria, flights, accommodation, medical appointments, and essential equipment. One parent has had to leave work to care for Alex full-time
 
 His next therapy block in Austria is scheduled for November, but his care continues every single day, even between trips
