<div>It is with a heavy heart that I share some disappointing news.

<div>After more than six months of negotiations, the Osio Arts Foundation and Green Valley Corporation of San Jose, which holds the 50-year ground lease with the City of Monterey for the Osio Theater complex, were unable to reach an agreement regarding the cost of replacing the building's aging HVAC system. Because we could not come to terms on that issue, we have made the difficult decision not to move forward with the Osio Theater project.

<div>I have also stepped down from the Osio Arts Foundation Board. The remaining Board members remain committed to creating something positive for the local arts community and will continue working hard to make that vision a reality.
