<div>As many of you know, Jaxon was born with an extremely rare genetic disorder called Cockayne Syndrome.

<div>On August 4th, he was taken to the ER with severe dehydration, initially believed to be related to a formula change. He was quickly transferred to Loma Linda Children’s Hospital, where he was started on IV fluids.

<div>What followed was a heartbreaking 4 month battle in the ICU. Jaxon fought through pneumonia, a rare yeast infection that required him to be placed on a ventilator, renal failure, and a serious A-line infection that ultimately led to the amputation of his leg.

<div>Despite his incredible strength and the unwavering love of his family, on December 4th—at just 5 years old—Jaxon’s little body simply couldn’t fight anymore. He gained his angel wings, leaving behind a family whose hearts are forever shattered by the loss of their precious boy.

<div>Jaxon’s celebration of life is planned for February, with the exact date still to be determined.
