<div>He recently underwent a serious and life-threatening surgery to have his pacemaker removed due to a severe infection and other complications. That pacemaker was essential in keeping his heart beating safely, and now that it’s gone, he’s at extremely high risk without any protection.

<div>His doctors have recommended a LifeVest—a wearable defibrillator that continuously monitors his heart and can deliver a life-saving shock if needed. It’s a temporary but critical device that could truly mean the difference between life and death while he recovers and waits for a long-term treatment plan.

<div>The problem is, because my dad doesn’t have health insurance, the hospital will not provide the LifeVest. <strong>The cost to get one out-of-pocket is $3,000 monthly, which is more than we can afford right now—but we know we have to try.</strong>
