Hi, I’m Tyler and I’m asking for your help on behalf of someone who means the world to me—my dad.

He recently underwent a serious and life-threatening surgery to have his pacemaker removed due to a severe infection and other complications. That pacemaker was essential in keeping his heart beating safely, and now that it’s gone, he’s at extremely high risk without any protection.

His doctors have recommended a LifeVest—a wearable defibrillator that continuously monitors his heart and can deliver a life-saving shock if needed. It’s a temporary but critical device that could truly mean the difference between life and death while he recovers and waits for a long-term treatment plan.

The problem is, because my dad doesn’t have health insurance, the hospital will not provide the LifeVest. The cost to get one out-of-pocket is $3,000 monthly, which is more than we can afford right now—but we know we have to try.

My dad is one of the most selfless, compassionate people I know. He’s always shown up for others—his family, friends, even strangers. Now, he needs help—and asking for it isn’t easy.

More than anything, my dad wants to be here to watch his grandkids grow up. He wants to cheer them on, celebrate birthdays, and be a part of their lives for years to come. But without this vest, his future is dangerously uncertain.
