<div>Hi,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is <strong>Thierry André</strong>. I'm a guitar-maker from Quebec, Canada. I'm also a dad; my daughter Clara is now 7 years old. Regarding my cancer, I told her everything was going to be alright, and that's one of the reasons I'm running this GoFundMe campaign.
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/103703747_1778818823257979_r.jpg" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My situation in brief:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I was diagnosed with <strong>metastatic cancer </strong>eight months ago. Honestly, I was close to death and very scared. The doctors wanted to give me an estimate of how long I had left, which I refused; because in my mind, I was going to survive.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I'm glad I stayed positive. <strong>As of today, with the help of chemotherapy and natural treatments, my tumor has shrunk by 35% and my metastases have decreased.</strong> I see the light at the end of the tunnel… Although I still have at least <strong>12 months of chemotherapy ahead of me</strong>, I am (as is my daughter) very encouraged by my progress.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Cancer, Work, and Finances:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Building a successful career in instrument making has always required 12-hour workdays, a clear head, and an unwavering vision of success.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My current reality, for months now and for the next year, is that with the side effects of chemotherapy, it's simply impossible to maintain the same work rhythm. That's why I'm seeking this external and financial support to help me recover physically and transition back to my usual work schedule.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The situation is quite urgent because I risk losing my workshop if I don't take action; as a craftsperson, I'm not eligible for income protection insurance or anything like that.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/103703747_1779004098604431_r.jpg" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For Clara and me, and to continue my work and share it with the world:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Small amounts like $20, or large amounts like $100 and more; <strong>please know that every donation is greatly appreciated. </strong>If you wish, you can make a difference and contribute to my quest to return to a normal dad life and to successfully resume my career.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For my part, I commit to using this cancer experience as leverage, to push harder, and to continue bringing new and relevant ideas to the guitar-making discipline that has shaped me over the years.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you.
</div>
<div>Thierry

</div>
<div>Salut,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Je m'appelle <strong>Thierry André</strong>.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Ma situation en bref:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Cancer, travail, et finances:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Merci à vous
</div>
<div>Thierry
