<div>On August 25th a massive flood hit the Trishuli River valley of central Nepal. Early reports suggest an icefall or landslide blocked the Lende River high in the Himalayas creating a massive lake. When that natural dam broke it sent a wall of water into a densely populated valley. Helicopter pilots reported the wall of water scoured valley walls as high as 400 feet high. Videos show water raging over the 7 story border complex between China and Nepal. Thousands of people were in the path of that flood. The devastation and loss of life has been profound.

<div>If you now Far Xplorer and our community, you know we seek the positives.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This event was highly localized which means the rest of Nepal was unharmed. This makes arranging for assistance much easier than a national disaster.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We also have a vast network of partners and resources to offer assistance with targeted effectiveness.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our immediate needs involve providing essential supplies to survivors. We need to purchase large numbers of the following:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<ul>
<li>Tarps for basic shelter as this is still monsoon season.
</li>
<li>Barrels and water treatment solutions for drinking water
</li>
<li>Hoses and containers to distribute water.
</li>
<li>Propane for stoves.
</li>
<li>Large volumes of rice, cooking oil and basic food items.
</li>
<li>Money to help relocate survivors to areas with more resources.
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>These funds will be administered by our most trusted partners in Nepal under one cohesive and targeted effort.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The people of Nepal are incredibly resilient but many have been left with nothing more than that resistance. Let’s help them get through the aftermath of this horrific event.
