<div>The Ruth L. Holley Design Studio exists because creativity changes lives. For years, I have dedicated my work to helping young people and emerging creators in Buffalo access the resources, instruction, and encouragement they need to explore fashion, design, and the arts. What began as a commitment to teaching sewing and garment construction has grown into a community-centered creative lab built on community, education, access, and continuity.

<div>At The Ruth, students of all ages learn technical design skills, build confidence, and discover new ways to express themselves. We host sewing workshops, youth programs, photography and styling classes, portfolio development sessions, and community arts opportunities. All of this work is rooted in the belief that access should never be a barrier to creativity. As a teaching artist and lecturer in the Fashion and Textile Technology Department at Buffalo State University, I bring the same care and intention to my studio that I bring to the classroom, ensuring young people have spaces where they feel supported, challenged, and inspired.
