<div>Kathi Meenan has been a light in our community. As a vet, mom, educator, child advocate, mentor, benefactor, and friend, she has done so much for so many of us.

<div>As the founder of the non-profit <em>Wishes for Horses </em>Kathi gave children the chance to experience the joy of horses regardless of their financial means. At Getner Barn, Kathi created a place where young people could find confidence, learn responsibility, experience kindness, and bask in the love of a horse.

<div>Against the odds, Kathi became a veterinarian, dedicating her life to healing animals—ours and countless others. She has taught hundreds of young riders, mentored many young adults wanting to become veterinarians, and created a safe haven in her barn for anyone who needed it. She’s been a devoted wife, mother to three boys, and cared for her elderly father through his last years.

<div>Kathi passed away August 12th after bravely battling cancer for the past three years. Healthcare costs and ongoing expenses placed an overwhelming financial burden on her family.
