<div>Earlier this year, Chris was hospitalized for his mental health and, with treatment, began making hopeful progress. But when he lost his job — and the disability income that came with it — in June, it set off a severe setback, sending him into a painful spiral of deep depression and anxiety.

<div>Recently, Chris suffered a crisis-level relapse, and the family is now seeking longer-term in-patient treatment to give him the best chance at a full recovery. This kind of care comes at an overwhelming cost, and at the same time, Sarah has been carrying the household on her own — facing higher insurance premiums, growing medical bills, and the loss of Chris’s income — all while caring for their young son, Ethan, and trying to maintain a sense of normalcy for him.
