<div>I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my dear friends, the Snyder family, who are going through an absolutely heartbreaking and devastating tragedy.

<div>Last night, both of their beloved dogs were shot in their cul-de-sac. Their children, along with their nephews, were outside and witnessed the incident. To say this has been traumatic is a huge understatement.

<div>Their sweet 1-year-old puppy, Charlie, did not survive, and Dexter is currently hospitalized. The emotional toll on this family is immense, and now they’re also facing unexpected and overwhelming veterinary expenses.

<div>So far, costs are around $7,500, and if Dexter needs surgery, the total could reach $10,000. Without surgery, the final amount will likely be closer to $8,000.

<div>This GoFundMe is to help cover Dexter’s medical care and give the family one less thing to worry about as they process this trauma and focus on supporting their children through unimaginable grief.

<div>If donations exceed the amount of the vet bills, the family plans to donate any remaining funds to a reputable children’s therapy, counseling, or grief program, to help other families navigating loss and trauma.
