<div>I’m fundraising on behalf of my great uncle Jan, who is special needs and is preparing for a major spinal surgery. <strong>This surgery is necessary for his health and quality of life, but the costs that come with it are overwhelming for my family.</strong>

<div>My grandma is Jan’s primary caregiver, and she is under a huge amount of stress right now. She works two jobs to support both Jan and my great-grandmother, who is currently on hospice care. After his surgery, Jan will need to stay in a nursing home for recovery, which adds even more financial strain.

<div>Jan attends a wonderful program called Ray of Sunshine, a center for individuals with special needs that has truly helped him thrive, but with everything happening at once, the expenses are becoming too much for my grandma to manage alone.
