<div>My dad, Gene Kaminer, has been through so much over the past few years. About four years ago, he suffered a stroke that changed his life, but he’s worked incredibly hard to stay mostly independent and keep pushing forward.

<div>About a month and a half ago, he was hospitalized with a serious gallbladder infection and ended up spending almost a month in the hospital. He’s now at JF Hawkins for rehab, working every day to regain his strength and stability.

</div>

<div>Unfortunately, insurance only covers part of his stay, and the out-of-pocket costs for the next 79 days are overwhelming. I’m doing everything I can, but it’s more than I can handle alone.
