<div>Hi my name is Kassie and on August 17, our family received the devastating news that my stepdad, Dmitri, was involved in a serious skydiving accident. He suffered multiple significant injuries, including several broken bones and serious injury to his spine. He is currently facing emergency surgery with more surgeries ahead of him and a long road to recovery.

<div>Dmitri is a two-time Olympian, representing Kazakhstan at the 1994 and 1998 Olympic Games, and a six-time World Championship competitor. He trained in Kazakhstan and at the Lake Placid Olympic Center under renowned coach Natalia Dubova, becoming a highly decorated ice dance competitor. He now is a big part of the coaching team at Level Up Performance Skating in Salem, NH.<br />
