<div>Angela Lopez is a vibrant 40-year-old single mother of three from Long Branch, NJ. Originally working in patient care, she was later promoted to Clinical Coordinator for the H-B Cancer Support Community at Monmouth Medical. She always puts her children and her career first, tending to her patients with the generosity and selflessness of a daughter and dear friend.

<div>In the early hours of Sunday, July 20th, while out celebrating a family member’s birthday in the Bronx, tragedy struck. While exiting a vehicle, Angela was hit by a man in a blue Mitsubishi, who had been involved in an argument at a nearby restaurant. He struck her with his car and fled the scene. She was left in the street with a broken foot and ankle, a shattered knee, broken tibia, broken fingers, and multiple brain bleeds.

<div>Though he has since turned himself in to the police, detectives are still working to obtain his insurance information. Angela has taken steps to apply for disability and is working with her employer to move her position to remote so she can continue working while she recovers. This shows her unstoppable spirit—she’s doing everything she can to keep her family’s boat afloat. She faces multiple surgeries and many months of healing and physical therapy. Currently, she is in a hospital away from home and is actively working on a transfer to be closer to her family and friends.

<div>We’re starting this GoFundMe to give Angela the extra support she needs. She has always provided help and love to those in need, and now we want to return that love to her. With the children starting school soon, Angela will need help with child care, home assistance, medical bills, and more. And with the uncertainty surrounding the assailant’s insurance, we don’t yet know whether it will cover what she’s endured.
