<div>In May 2023, Steven Johnson — a devoted single father, son, and friend — was in a life-threatening accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down. Doctors said he’d never walk again due to severe spinal cord damage.

<div>But Steven’s determination told a different story.

<div>Against all odds, he’s now learning to walk again using leg braces and patella bars. His recovery has been nothing short of incredible — even doctors are amazed.

<div>Steven is relocating to Houston, TX for the next stage of outpatient rehab, which offers more advanced therapy and equipment. Unfortunately, insurance denied coverage for his own leg braces — a crucial part of his progress.

<div>He’s also raising his 10-year-old son on his own — a bright, active student and rising athlete. Steven’s biggest motivation is to recover so he can be the father his son needs.
