<div>Our dear friend Neil, a retired member of our community here in Costa Rica, is facing a heartbreaking crisis. After a lifetime of hard work, Neil retired here because it was more affordable — but even so, he's been living on a very small pension, just enough to get by.

<div>Unfortunately, that small income hasn’t been enough to cover his property taxes. Now, the local municipality is preparing to foreclose on his home. We have just two months to raise $4,200 to pay off the back taxes and stop the foreclosure.

<div>Neil is not someone who ever asks for help. But right now, he truly needs us. This is a chance for us to come together as a community — to protect the dignity of a good man, and to keep him from losing the one thing he has left: his home.
