<div>Hi, my name's Sagen! I’m a Black trans art student raising money to help cover the remaining costs of my gender-affirming bilateral orchiectomy.

<div>When I originally created this fundraiser, my goal was $5,000 because I was facing the full cost of surgery, anesthesia, transportation, recovery expenses, and other related costs largely on my own.

<div>Since then, I’ve made a lot of progress.
</div>

<div>Through working, saving, and putting aside as much of my own money as I can, I’ve been able to cover a significant portion of the expenses myself. Because of that, I’ve lowered the fundraiser goal from $5,000 to $1,600.
</div>

<div>I’m extremely proud that I’ve been able to get this much closer to my goal through my own efforts, but $1,600 is still a significant amount for me while I’m also balancing school, work, housing, HRT, and everyday expenses.
</div>

<div>This surgery is extremely important to me. It would give me greater security in my transition, and bring me closer to feeling comfortable in my body.
</div>

<div>I’m currently working through the required paperwork and preparations while continuing to save toward the remaining cost.
</div>
