<div>Roy participated in the USAW Greco Roman Central Regional Championships in Ft. Wayne Indiana. By placing runner up in this tournament, Roy punched his ticket to compete in the US Marine Corps Junior National Championships in Fargo, ND.

<div>Roy has proved to be one of the top wrestlers in Illinois this previous season by starting on the varisty wrestling team for Hope Academy, participating in the IHSA Sectional, and placing runner up in the IHSA state Championship but this is an opportunity for him to show that he is one of the top wrestlers in the country.
