<div>Along a short stretch of Lawrence St in Houston Heights, families with strollers, children walking to daycare, church visitors, and neighbors are regularly forced into the street because the sidewalk is broken and missing.

<div>The project area sits between a daycare, a church, Lawrence Park, and surrounding homes. The missing sidewalk connection creates daily accessibility and safety challenges for people trying to move through the neighborhood on foot.

<div>A group of nearby residents, daycare parents, church stakeholders, and community advocates have come together to organize a solution locally rather than waiting years for the issue to be addressed.

<div>This effort is being coordinated alongside A Tale of Two Bridges, a Houston-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on safer, more connected, and more walkable neighborhoods.
