<div>Hello, I'm Rayna; an artist, community organizer, curator, and folklorist based in New York City. <strong>I am raising funds to help me care for myself during the process of going through gender affirmation surgery this spring.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This major and life changing surgery will have a long recovery time and, because of my age and having already undergone several other gender affirming surgeries recently, <strong>I will be completely unable to work during the pre and post-op period for a total of eight months.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I'm amazed at the way people have come together to support my previous gender affirming surgery recovery fundraisers. <strong>Contributing to this more comprehensive one will help me get over the finish line.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Your contributions will help me to:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Take adequate time off for a complete and safe recovery
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Cover rent and bills during the time I'm unable to work
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Purchase recovery materials like compression garments and special bedding to prevent post-op injury or infection
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Pay for out of pocket pre and after care services
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Cover transportation to and from pre and post-op appointments
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And much more to provide a secure surgical experience
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Many people are familiar with my work in electronic music, a field where I have had the joy of inspiring other artists and receiving critical acclaim. Through music and visual arts, I had the opportunity to travel the world, but the work I am proudest of is what I have done in my home city after leaving the touring world five years ago to focus on community organizing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>When I came out publicly as transgender in 2017, my whole life opened up. <strong>With your support I can recover confidently and securely from this life changing surgery</strong>, a major step in my transition.
