<div>Twelve years ago, I left a violent and emotionally abusive home in search of safety and freedom. I’ve since worked hard to build a new life in France—teaching, making art, and caring for children. But despite everything I’ve overcome, I’m now facing a set of challenges I cannot meet alone. In addition to dealing with a recent destabilising grief, that I couldn't make it through without my community.

<div>After years of emotional and financial abuse, I’m currently pursuing legal action to reclaim my autonomy—and trying to secure my rightful European citizenship, which has been withheld from me by my family. Without it, I’ve been cut off from basic rights like healthcare, work protections, and long-term stability.

<div>At the same time, I’m managing serious medical and mental health needs that have forced me to reduce my work hours, making it even harder to stay afloat.

<div>What I Need Help With

<div>I’m asking for help covering four core areas:

<div>UPDATE NOTE: The reason why gofundme support is my primary source of support at the moment is because as my citizenship documents were withheld from me by my abuser and thus I have not been able to legally work in France.

<div>France has been offering me safety, social support and protections. I did not want my abuser to put my residency status into jeopardy by coercing me into a situation where I would be forced to work illegally to survive.
