<div>Predrag “Peđa” Stanišić, my best friend’s brother, is a devoted father of two young daughters and a hardworking construction worker. While working in Croatia, Peđa’s life changed in an instant when a furnace explosion caused a devastating fire. He suffered third-degree burns covering 45% of his body and severe lung damage from inhaling flames and smoke. He is now hospitalized in Zagreb, under intensive care, fighting to breathe and recover from this life-threatening condition.
