<div>Pamozi is a 100% volunteer-run non-profit that collects pre-loved prescription glasses and gives them a second life in communities where eye care is unavailable or unaffordable. Across Zimbabwe and South Africa, millions of people live with uncorrected vision problems not because treatment doesn't exist, but because a basic pair of glasses is simply out of reach. At Pamozi, we believe that sight changes everything. Clear vision should never be a luxury, yet for millions of people, something as simple as a pair of glasses is completely out of reach. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, opticians, and partners, we have collected thousands of glasses along with brand new frames and lenses all ready to be delivered. But collecting the glasses is only the first step. Before they can reach the people who need them most, the glasses must be sorted, cleaned, and prepared.

Dies geschieht in Regionen, in denen augenärztliche Versorgung kaum bzw. gar nicht verfügbar oder unbezahlbar ist. In Simbabwe und Südafrika leben Millionen von Menschen mit unbehandelten Sehproblemen, weil selbst eine einfache Brille für sie aus finanziellen Gründen unerreichbar scheint.

<div>Wir bei Pamozi sind überzeugt: Sehen verändert alles. Gutes Sehen sollte kein Luxus sein;  und doch ist genau das für viele Menschen Realität. Dank der großen Unterstützung unserer Spender:innen, Optikgeschäfte, und Partner:innen konnten wir bereits tausende Brillen sowie neue Fassungen und Gläser sammeln, die nun bereitstehen, um ihre Reise nach Simbabwe und Südafrika anzutreten. Doch das Sammeln ist nur der erste Schritt: Bevor die Brillen verteilt werden können, müssen sie sortiert, gereinigt und aufbereitet werden.
