<div>Hey guys, as you know, about a month ago, <strong>I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer</strong>. I wanted to keep you guys up to date on everything.

<div>Next week, I have two appointments on Thursday and Friday. On Friday, I get biopsies of my lymph nodes to see if the cancer has spread because my last ultrasound showed that they were suspicious. On October 21st, I have a CT scan, and on November 5th, I will have surgery to remove my thyroid and lymph nodes. On October 17th, they will let me know what additional treatment I will need moving forward.

<div>With that being said, I will be off work for at least 2 weeks at first and then additional time for appointments/treatment plans, etc., which will be unpaid as I don't have any PTO time and FMLA is unpaid. <strong>I am the last person to ask for help when it comes to anything</strong>. My copay just for the biopsy next week is $350 for outpatient surgery. I already have about $2,000 racked up in medical bills so far, and I haven't even started this journey. I'm drowning in medical debt.
