My name is Nicole, and over the past several months, my life has been turned upside down by a series of serious medical crises. Since January 2024, I have been hospitalized six times for conditions including congestive heart failure, severe anemia, dangerously low blood pressure, and blood clots. I am uninsured and have been unemployed since December 2024, which has left me struggling to keep up with overwhelming medical bills and basic living expenses. Despite using all my savings, I am now at a point where I can barely cover rent, utilities, and the costs of my ongoing care.

 Every day is a challenge. I do not qualify for Medicaid or food stamps, and after paying for medications, copays, and necessary diagnostic tests, there is often nothing left for groceries. I have recently started relying on the food bank to get by. My most urgent needs right now are paying for my monthly medication refills, daily living expenses, and a critical treatment my oncologist and hematologist have ordered. The copay for this treatment is more than I can afford, and without it, my severe anemia will continue to threaten my health. I am also at risk of not being able to pay my rent after this month.

 I have always tried to handle things on my own, but my small circle of friends and family have helped as much as they can. It is difficult for me to ask for help, but I am at a point where I have no other options. Receiving support through GoFundMe would mean everything to me. It would allow me to get the treatment I need to improve my health, relieve some of the financial stress, and hopefully get back to work so I can regain my independence.
