<div>Those who know me know how deeply I love my pets — they’re not just animals to me, they’re family. Since my partner left, things have been financially tight, and now my sweet little Jewel is facing the biggest struggle of her life.

<div>She’s been battling serious health issues for a while, but recently things have taken a heartbreaking turn. Jewel has stopped eating and is rapidly losing weight despite every effort — including being gently force-fed. Our regular vet has done all they can, and now she needs to see a specialist as soon as possible.

<div>The specialist visit alone is $200 just to walk through the door, and that doesn’t include the blood work or diagnostic tests she’ll almost certainly need. I’ve already applied for a loan from my 401K, but it will take a couple of weeks to process — and Jewel can’t wait that long.
