<div>My family and I just relocated to Dallas in December of 2024, hoping for a fresh start and stability. We only moved into our apartment a little over a month and a half ago, and we are still getting settled. Unfortunately, the ongoing government shutdown has hit us hard with our food aid source being paused. Food is already sky high and I was budgeting with what I was getting from the government in assistance.

<div>With the holidays approaching, I am faced with an impossible choice: pay our bills or put food on the table for my children. My children mean everything to me and I am doing my best to shield them from the stress of this situation... but the reality is that without support, we may go hungry or face serious housing instability.

<div>It’s not easy to reach out, but right now, we need a helping hand to make it through this difficult time. Any contribution, big or small, can help us have a safe and warm home, enough to eat, and some peace of mind during the holidays.
