We've applied for both Medicaid and the Marketplace, but he’s been denied for both — not because he doesn’t need care, but because he doesn't have a formal diagnosis yet. It’s a cruel loop: he can’t get insurance without a diagnosis, and he can’t get a diagnosis without insurance.
