<div>My son Mohammad (11), daughter Mais (7), and son Malik (6) used to live a modest life in Gaza. Despite the hardships, we still hold on to hope.

<div>The war began in October 2023, and one night, while eating dinner, a missile struck the building next door. Windows shattered, part of the ceiling collapsed. I ran barefoot, clutching Malik in my arms and pulling Mohammad and Mais as I was screamed: “Run!”. We survived — barely. But our house was completely destroyed.

<div>My husband had left before the strike and never returned. To this day, we don’t know if he’s alive or death.

<div>In the first round of displacement, my children and I lived in a makeshift tent with no doors, no electricity, and no warm bed.

<div>In our most recent displacement round we are now living in a rented store 3*5 meters.
</div>

<div>Mohammad suffers from nightly panic attacks. Mais has stopped smiling. Malek asks for his father every night.
