<div>As a freelance illustrator, and especially as an illustrator in a very niche field (cartography for tabletop games, novels and the like) it is a daily struggle to keep on top of my finances. Due to a really bad year last year work-wise (as generative AI, tariffs and general global chaos run riot through my industry), this has resulted in me pretty much having to max out two credit cards which I am now stuck trying to pay off.

<div>So far, I've just about managed to make the monthly repayments, but it's eating so much into the sporadic money i'm earning from freelance commissions that treading water is all I seem to be able to do, with the minimum repayments not even making a dent in what's due.
