This surgery will truly aid in bringing my body into alignment with my identity, easing the deep dysphoria I’ve carried for years. The relief of will I feel is powerful—but so is the need for stability during this vulnerable time.

<div>Gender-affirming surgeries have been shown to significantly reduce rates of anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation among trans people. These aren’t just statistics—they are truths I’ve lived. The difference between surviving and thriving often comes down to access to care, and I am incredibly grateful to have reached this milestone. But the path to recovery is just as important, and it requires time, space, and resources I can’t manage alone.
