<div>After a long and painful journey, the time has come: On Monday, August 11, I will undergo minimally invasive cervical spine surgery (C6/C7 spinal stenosis).
</div>

<div>My journey with spinal issues began back in 2023, when I had my first herniated disc. I worked hard to recover through physical therapy, consistent training, and eventually Pilates, which helped me rebuild strength and return to playing shows.
</div>

</div>
<div>But in 2025, a second herniated disc brought everything back more painful and persistent. Still, I didn’t give up. I tried again:

</div>
<div>- Physiotherapy
</div>
<div>- Akupunktur - Core Training
</div>
<div>- 6 nerve root injections (PRTs) – which only gave me temporary relief
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now, the pain is back full force, and surgery is the only realistic chance I have to recover, protect my nerves, and return to life without constant limitation. What this means: As an independent DJ and live artist, this operation means: 2–3 months of complete downtime, no income, no shows but ongoing expenses, medication, therapy, and travel to appointments.

<div>To make things harder: I’m not insured through Germany’s Künstlersozialkasse (KSK) meaning no sick pay, no state support during this recovery phase. My family has already helped me as much as they can, but now I need help beyond that.

<div>nach einer langen und schmerzhaften Reise ist es jetzt soweit: Am Montag, den 11. August, werde ich an der Halswirbelsäule (C6/C7, Spinalkanalstenose) minimal-invasiv operiert.

<div>Bereits 2023 hatte ich meinen ersten Bandscheibenvorfall. Damals habe ich mich mit viel Geduld, Physiotherapie und regelmäßigem Training besonders durch Pilates, Schritt für Schritt zurück ins Leben und auf die Bühne gekämpft.

<div>Doch nun, in 2025, ist ein zweiter Bandscheibenvorfall dazugekommen. Ich habe mich erneut nicht sofort geschont, sondern wieder alles versucht:

<div>Insgesamt 6 PRT-Injektionen, die aber nur kurzzeitig geholfen haben

<div>Jetzt ist die Schmerzspirale an einem Punkt angekommen, an dem eine OP die einzige realistische Möglichkeit ist, dauerhaft wieder schmerzfrei und arbeitsfähig zu werden.

<div>Was das bedeutet:
</div>
<div>Als selbstständiger Künstler und DJ bedeutet das für mich: 2–3 Monate kompletter Ausfall, kein Einkommen, kein Spielen aber laufende Kosten, Arzttermine, Medikamente und Reha.

</div>
<div>Ich bin außerdem nicht über die Künstlersozialkasse (KSK) versichert – also kein Krankengeld, keine soziale Absicherung im Krankheitsfall. Meine Familie hat mir bereits sehr geholfen jetzt stoßen wir aber an unsere Grenzen.
