<div>My name is Monique S. Dietvorst. I am the founder of the Canadian Child Protection from Alienation Foundation and a graduate student in the Master’s Program in Parental Alienation Studies.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For years, I have been working to protect children from relational harm during high-conflict separations. My mission is to ensure that Canadian family law prioritizes the safety and well-being of children, grounded in evidence and clinical research.

<div><strong>Why Toronto? A Critical Moment for Our Children</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In March 2026, I submitted a formal brief to the House of Commons Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights. My brief outlines a practical, evidence-based, three-tier framework for addressing parental alienation in the Divorce Act.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This framework is designed to stop the harm at its source:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Prevention: Through Equal Shared Parenting presumptions to prevent alienation from taking root.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Enforcement: Through a National Access Program to ensure court orders are followed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Treatment: Through specialized Family Systems Therapy for severe cases to heal damaged relationships.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now, I have been invited to present this critical research at a conference in Toronto from November 6-7, 2026. This isn't just another conference—it is a pivotal moment in the fight to reform Canada’s family law. <a href="https://www.ifalliance.net/toronto-2026" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Click to go to IF Alliance Conference website</a>

<div><strong>The Urgency of This Fight</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Right now, Bill C-223 is making its way through Parliament. This bill threatens to remove the concept of parental alienation from the Divorce Act entirely, which would harm children who are victims of this form of psychological abuse.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My research provides a clear, moderate, and child-centered alternative that addresses parental alienation without harming survivors of family violence. I must be in Toronto to present this solution to the experts and advocates who can influence the future of this legislation. If we don't speak up, vulnerable children will continue to be caught in the crossfire. <a href="https://www.ifalliance.net/toronto-registration" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Click to get your ticket to the IF Alliance ticket</a>

</div>
<div><strong>A Call to Action</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am asking for your help to get this vital research in front of the people who can make a difference. Parental alienation is a form of child abuse, and it can only be addressed through education and legal reform.
</div>
