<div>Recently, I had to undergo emergency surgery due to a life-threatening pregnancy complication. My baby’s placenta implanted over my previous c-section scar and began protruding through my uterus bulging into my bladder—a rare and extremely dangerous condition (placenta percreta). I was forced to make the unthinkable decision: to have a TFMR (termination for medical reasons) in order to save my life.

<div>As a mom, it was the most heartbreaking choice I have ever had to make. I wanted to give my son life—but I also have a daughter at home who depends on me, and I knew I had to be here for her.

<div>Right now, I am on bed rest and will remain so until my follow-up appointment, where doctors will determine if I need a full six weeks off or can return to work sooner. During this time, I will be receiving short-term disability, but unfortunately, it will not come close to covering our family's monthly bills and living expenses.

<div>My husband is doing all he can to hold everything together, but I want to help ease his burden so he can focus on caring for our family without the constant stress of financial strain.
