<div>Hi everyone, I’m Marianna. I’m writing to you today to share an update on my path toward becoming a lawyer. As a physically disabled woman, my mission has always been clear: to be a voice for the "underdog" and to fight for justice with the grace and humility that comes from overcoming immense systemic barriers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A few years ago, I shared the exciting news of my acceptance into the University of Leicester in the UK. Since then, I have navigated the rigors of international legal studies, proving time and again that my determination far outweighs the challenges placed before me.
</div>
<div>The Financial Reality
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While I am incredibly proud of my academic success, the financial burden of pursuing a law degree abroad has been significant.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Total Tuition: The cost for my program was approximately $27,500.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Funding Gaps: While I received some support from OSAP, it only covered a portion of the total costs and did not fully account for tuition or the unique expenses associated with my disability.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The TD Student Loan: To bridge this gap and ensure I could complete my education, I had to secure a student loan through TD.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As I near the point where I can fully step into my role as an advocate for others, this debt remains a substantial hurdle. I am now asking for your help once again to pay back this TD student loan so I can focus on my career without the crushing weight of this debt holding me back.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Why This Matters:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I know what it is like to be told that my existence is a burden or that I won't amount to anything. Instead of internalizing that, I use it as fuel to listen, confirm facts, and make compelling arguments for those who are often ignored by the legal system.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>By helping me clear this financial obstacle, you aren't just paying back a loan—you are investing in a future lawyer who will spend her life ensuring the most vulnerable among us have someone knowledgeable and firm in their corner.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>How You Can Help:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Donate: Any amount, no matter how small, goes directly toward the principal of my TD student loan.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Share: Please share this update with your networks. A wider reach means more people who might be inspired by my story can help me cross the finish line.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Support: Your words of encouragement mean the world to me as I finish this chapter of my journey.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am asking with an open heart for your support in making my transition into the legal profession as smooth as possible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for being part of my village.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With gratitude,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Marianna
