Hello, my name is Mahmoud, and I am from Darfur

My family( dad, mom, sister(with her two sons), and my three younger brothers (ages 11, 13, and 15) are trapped in Darfur.

Atrocities and ethnic targeted killings are are happening every day. My family are exposed to daily harassment and threats from RSF and living in indescribable horror and fear. Every time I call them my heart beats when I can’t reach them out, and if they answer I panic to receive bad news, but it is the reality, at every call, I learn that one of our neighbors or relative has been killed. I am very worried for their safety.

Also, my mother suffers from chronic diseases: diabetes and hypertension. In a region where there's no fully functioning and operating hospital, medicine is scarce & expensive, her life is at extreme risk if we cannot evacuate her quickly.

My goal is to evacuate my family to Uganda, where they can finally live in safety and access basic healthcare.

my heart and mind are always with my family back home in Zalingei, and I can’t stop thinking about them. I am always stressed. Please help me to save my family.
