Everyone made it out alive—my mother Lisa, my grandmother Shirley (88), my brother William (48), my aunt Kathy (67), and my cousin Tom (51)—but they lost everything. Every possession, every memento, every piece of their lives went up in flames.

<div>They’re now facing an Alaskan winter without shelter, without belongings, and without fire insurance. The policy had lapsed, leaving them with nothing but the clothes they were wearing when they escaped.

<div><strong>Five people, including an 88-year-old woman, are starting over from absolute zero in the middle of winter.</strong> They need immediate help with:
