<div>While wrapping up Youth for Christ’s General Assembly conference in Amsterdam, Sumi began feeling unwell. By the time she reached Prague, her condition had worsened significantly. Thanks to caring friends—one a registered nurse—she was able to get home and straight to the ER. There, doctors discovered she had <strong>Influenza A, pneumonia, and a severe bacterial infection</strong> in her leg.

<div>She spent <strong>six days in the hospital</strong> and went home with oxygen and strong antibiotics. But the challenges didn’t end there. Sumi has since been diagnosed with <strong>serious heart problems</strong> and still requires oxygen. Many days, simply leaving the house is exhausting. Work is nearly impossible, and her savings have been depleted.
