<div>As a result of the crash; she suffered two fractures to her spine a shattered L1, and fractured L5 as well as three broken ribs, a concussion, and a contusion to her intestines. Due to the severity of her injuries, she was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, then life-flighted by medical airplane to Denver for specialized care at Auroras Children Hospital.

<div>She underwent major spinal surgery to stabilize her spine, which involved two rods and ten screws. She spent 2 nights and 3 days in the ICU . After the ICU we have been in the hospital for 9 days and counting… this will be followed by a minimum of six weeks of physical therapy, with continued care likely beyond that.

<div>The medical costs are overwhelming and ongoing. Between emergency transport, life flight, intensive care, surgery, hospitalization, and rehabilitation, expenses are expected to exceed two hundred thousand dollars.
