The family's nightmare began in July when Kevin suffered a serious heart event that required hospitalization and forced him off work for an extended recovery period.

Kevin's ability to return to his former occupation is uncertain, making the financial outlook terrifying. With the primary earner unable to work, the stress of providing a warm and happy holiday season for his two children—who have endured months of watching their father struggle—is immense.
