 <strong>Dear Kind and Loyal Readers,</strong>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Our free community newspaper has always been more than just ink on paper. It’s where genuine stories are told, voices are heard, and local groups and causes find a platform.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 From our first issue to the most recent one, our mission has been simple: to give the community something useful, interesting, informative, entertaining, and freely accessible.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 But today, we’re facing a crossroads.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 The costs of printing, paper, and delivery have risen and with them, the pressure to fill every page with advertising just to stay afloat. Our loyal local sponsors and businesses have supported us generously for years, but many are now stretched thin themselves, navigating the same rising costs and uncertainty we face.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 And so the weight has fallen increasingly on our shoulders to cover the cost, trying to keep the paper alive by chasing ads, while the time and space for writing good stories shrinks.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Imagine what we could do if that pressure lifted.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 With your support, we could:
</div>
<ul>
 <li><strong>Keep the newspaper free and accessible to everyone, regardless of income.</strong></li>
 <li>Spend less time selling ads to small businesses who are already doing it tough.</li>
 <li>Spend more time writing stories that matter.</li>
 <li>Give more space to local clubs, charities, schools, and grassroots initiatives.</li>
 <li>Provide regular updates from the groups and neighbours that make this community special.</li>
</ul>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 <strong>Every donation helps us to cover the core costs of running the paper—printing, distribution, and keeping our writers going.</strong>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Support local stories. Support local connection. Support your free community newspaper.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 With deep gratitude,
</div>
