<div>Hi! I'm Karina and I'm a student at SCAD majoring in Interior Design. .

<div>I’m excited (and honestly still a little shocked) to share that I’ve been accepted into SCAD’s Spring 2026 Study Abroad program in Lacoste, France. This opportunity allows me to study and create in a historic medieval village while continuing my education in interior design; something I’m deeply passionate about.

<div>What makes this even more meaningful is how it happened. When I first applied, I thought I had been waitlisted and assumed I wouldn’t be going. Then, right before New Year’s Eve, I received an email saying I hadn’t paid my deposit yet. After reaching out to the school, they realized there had been a mistake; I had actually been accepted all along. They extended my deposit deadline, and I truly took that moment as a sign that I’m meant to go and have this once-in-a-lifetime experience doing what I love.

<div>Although my VA benefits cover my tuition, they do not cover travels or room and board. These are costs I am responsible for paying before March 15th, which includes housing, flights, and daily living expenses.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I’m starting this GoFundMe to help cover those upfront costs and make this opportunity possible. Any donation, big or small; would mean the world to me, and sharing this page is just as appreciated.

</div>

<div>Thank you for supporting my journey, believing in my dreams, and helping me take this huge step forward in my education and career.
