<div>I've never been good at asking for help; I usually avoid it at all costs, but I don't really know what else to do at this point. <strong>My role was eliminated at the end of March</strong>, and while I got some severance, it's mostly run out, and the job hunt has been more difficult than expected. I applied for unemployment benefits at the start of April, but the claim is still pending. They already have all the information they need, but they're short-staffed and have a high number of claims, so they're behind on processing and unable to provide an update on when I can expect to receive anything.

<div>Things have always been a struggle living paycheck to paycheck, but I've managed to get by till now. As I said, the severance is mostly gone, so with nothing coming in right now, <strong>I'm not really sure what to do about upcoming rent and bills.</strong> For now, I'm just continuing the job search. I know I'll find the right role; it's just taking longer than I'd hoped.
