I’m doing this because I’ve seen firsthand the kind of person she is — selfless, hardworking, and always putting others first. She’s one of those people who shows up for everyone around her, whether it’s her patients, her kids, or our family.

<div>When I learned about the accident, my heart sank. I knew right away that she wouldn’t be the type to ask for help herself, even though she’d drop everything to help someone else. That’s why I wanted to step in — to give our community, friends, and extended family a way to show up for her, just like she’s always shown up for others.

<div>What happened
</div>
<div>On Monday October 6th, Jess, Addy (10) and Charlie (4) were involved in a serious multi-vehicle accident. The crash involved a semi-truck and multiple other vehicles.

<div>Addy was the most severely injured. She’s been hospitalized and is recovering, but the road ahead is long.
</div>

</div>
<div>Her mom (my cousin and dear friend) is a dedicated nurse and works hard to care for others — long shifts, nights, holidays.
</div>

</div>
<div>Jess will qualify for FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act), which legally protects her job during her medical leave — but there’s a catch: there will be no income during that time off.
