<div>As many may know, our small community of Girdwood, AK, has abruptly and tragically lost our Shawn Loberg on January 9th, 2025, on the Seward Highway at Mile 91. Shawn was an incredible father, grandfather, significant other, son, friend, brother, and so, so, so much more who had touched the lives of those around him. He leaves behind his daughters (Hailey and America), his sons (Nicholas and Gunner), his significant other (Lori), his mother (Judy), his granddaughters (Eliana, Nevaeh and Annika), his grandsons (Nicholas Jr., Levi and Lauritz), and his brother (Kenny).

<div>Shawn wholeheartedly dedicated his life to his family, his hard work, his community, and much more. He was incredibly hardworking and, although he had accomplished many things in his life, there were many goals he had planned to accomplish but was unfortunately unable to, one of them being buying land in Hawaii with Lori this coming April.

<div>We are all devastated by his loss, and there was no way for his family to prepare for this abrupt devastation. <strong>We want to give Shawn the memorial he deserves, to honor him and say our last goodbyes.</strong>

<div>I am currently asking for donations to lift the financial burden of his loved ones to help cover the cost of Shawn’s funeral, memorial service, and all of the other costs that may come along with it.
